Meet Dayle: Marketing and Engagement Officer

My role is all about helping the community have a voice and participate in decision-making in a meaningful way. I also help the council understand community desires and concerns.

Council is the closest level of government to the people, so the work can be very rewarding. I love forming strong connections with people from across the community.

I feel I can make a positive difference and help leaders make the right decisions for the local area.

The council has really supported my professional development. I’ve made the most of the LG Professionals SA programs, events and network and have been lucky to gain so many skills – report writing, networking, problem solving, communication, engagement and more.

The projects we work on affect so much of daily life – footpaths, roads, BMX parks, libraries, buildings, traffic – every day is different.

Councils do so much – there might be a job out there that you would love that you haven’t even heard of!
