Access and inclusion

South Australian councils are committed to making sure everyone, including people who are living with disability, can access essential services and opportunities.

Each council has a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan. These plans include actions councils take to support accessibility and inclusion in all areas.

These plans show how councils continue to remove barriers. They also create opportunities for people living with disability to be included and participate in their community.

Councils support access and inclusion by doing things like:

  • improving facilities and public spaces
  • consulting with all people
  • providing resources and support to improve access to services and events
  • making sure information about local services is easy to access.

Inclusive SA has a list of Disability Access and Inclusion Plans by South Australian councils.
