Upgraded Ravendale Sporting Complex changerooms open to support inclusive sport in Port Lincoln

22 June 2026
Port Lincoln's sporting community is preparing to celebrate the official opening of the upgraded changeroom facilities at Ravendale Sporting Complex – a modern, accessible and inclusive spaces for local clubs, players and volunteers.

The City of Port Lincoln is inviting residents to attend the official opening of the newly upgraded changeroom facilities at Ravendale Sporting Complex on Friday 26 June 2026.

The project has transformed the complex with the refurbishment of five unisex changerooms featuring improved privacy, modern amenities and enhanced accessibility for users of all ages and abilities.

Community members attending the official opening will have the opportunity to hear from project partners and local leaders, take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour the modernised facilities.

The upgraded changerooms are already in use by local sporting groups and provide safer, more comfortable and more accessible spaces for players, officials, volunteers and families.

City of Port Lincoln Mayor Diana Mislov said the investment will support local sport for many years to come.

“This project is about making sure our sporting clubs and groups have the facilities they need now and into the future,” Mayor Mislov said.

“Our sporting community is one of Port Lincoln’s greatest strengths, and these upgraded changerooms will support greater inclusion, participation and pride for years to come.”

The upgrades were made possible through a $325,000 grant from the South Australian Government's Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, helping deliver facilities that better meet the needs of the region's growing sporting community.

As clubs continue to grow and participation increases across the region, the upgraded facilities will provide a welcoming home for local sport and help ensure everyone can enjoy the benefits of being part of an active and connected community.
