Tilley Recreation Park welcomes new clubroom

12 August 2025

Mount Barker’s long-awaited Summit Aquatic and Leisure Centre is set to open this month, offering modern facilities, year-round programs and a new place for the community to come together.

The purpose-built facility features unisex change rooms, spectator seating and stands, a function space with kitchen and bar, umpire and medical rooms, and a gym.

With more than 450 soccer players now based at the site, the club can train, compete, and continue to grow, all without the need to hire external facilities.

This milestone marks the completion of phase one of a broader $9.5 million upgrade to Tilley Recreation Park. Phase two will deliver a new dog park, additional parking, and upgraded facilities for other sports and community activities.

Over the next two years, the Tilley Recreation Masterplan Project will transform the precinct, linking the soccer club to other sporting areas through improved paths, parking, and site-wide enhancements.
