McLaren Parade Community Plaza opens as a new gateway to Port Adelaide
The City of Port Adelaide Enfield has completed the McLaren Parade Community Plaza, delivering a new open space designed to bring people together at the heart of Port Adelaide.
Located near the River Torrens, the new plaza features shaded seating, expansive turf, a small nature play area and accessible pathways that create an inviting space for residents, workers and visitors to relax and connect.
The development also aligns with the Dock One pedestrian footbridge, providing a strong pedestrian and cyclist connection to the new Port Dock Train Station via the redirected Outer Harbor Greenway.
Guided by extensive community consultation with residents and local businesses, this project marks a key milestone in the council’s commitment to revitalise Port Adelaide’s waterfront and support community connection through improved public spaces.
The McLaren Parade Community Plaza is now open for everyone to enjoy, offering a riverside destination that celebrates Port Adelaide’s character and growing community.
