Discover the Creative Adelaide Plains Trail

15 December 2025
The Adelaide Plains Council has launched a new trail that guides locals and visitors through the region’s hidden artistic gems - from historic farmsteads to sustainable gathering spaces, creativity thrives across the plains.

Just an hour north of Adelaide, discover the Creative Adelaide Plains Trail, a self-guided map showcasing the region’s vibrant culture, community creativity and rural landscapes.

The trail connects communities across the Plains, including Mallala, Two Wells, Dublin, Lewiston, Thomson Beach and Parham, by highlighting places where art, history and sustainability intersect.

Along the trail, visitors will find menu-loaded local food stops, including Two Wells Bakery’s famous pies and Port Parham’s seafood, and quirky heritage sites like Dublin’s historic township and the iconic “Jinkers” at Parham.

Another standout on the trail is Wildman Farm, a beautifully restored 1880s limestone barn in Korunye. The site runs entirely off-grid with solar power and rainwater and welcomes visitors for hands-on workshops, art exhibitions and community events held in the barn and under the silo gazebos.

For those chasing adventure, the Adelaide Skydiving Centre at Lower Light offers breathtaking views from above, while Mallala Motorsport Park provides high-energy track action for motorsport fans.

If you’d like to extend your stay, the region offers plenty of accommodation options, including Middle Beach Caravan Park, Parham Camping Ground and the coast-side Shorebird Studio Accommodation.

The Adelaide Plains Creative Trail aligns with Council’s long-term vision for sustainable growth, blending rural character with community connection and visitor experiences.
