City of Unley backs young entrepreneurs through Fish Tank program
Since launching in 2016, the program has created a platform for people aged 8 to 25 to pitch business ideas or growing ventures to a panel of judges. Successful applicants receive mentoring, funding and support to help bring their ideas to life.
This year introduces a new Social Enterprise Award, recognising young people who are using business to create positive social or environmental change.
The program is open to young people who live, work, study or take part in activities within the City of Unley. Participants under 18 years old can apply as individuals or in small groups, encouraging collaboration and shared ideas.
Applicants are asked to think about the impact, creativity and practicality of their ideas, along with how they plan to bring them to life. Both early-stage ideas and established ventures are welcome, with a focus on supporting future growth.
Applications close on 17 May 2026.
The City of Unley is encouraging the community to spread the word and support young people to take part in this opportunity.
Finalists will present their ideas at Fish Tank Pitch Night on 4 June 2026 at Unley Town Hall, where they will share their vision and connect with mentors and the wider community.
