Celebrate the reopening of Marion Cultural Centre Library

19 September 2025
The Marion Cultural Centre Library has a fresh new look and is ready to welcome the community back. Come along to the Open Day on Saturday 20 September 2025 to explore the space, enjoy live entertainment and take part in family fun.

The Marion Cultural Centre Library has reopened after a major upgrade, offering a brighter, more welcoming space for the community to enjoy, including new seating, upgraded shelving and a refreshed children’s area.

To celebrate, the City of Marion is hosting an Open Day on Saturday 20 September from 10am to 4pm. Families can explore the library through a scavenger hunt with prizes, enjoy craft activities, and relax to the sounds of live local musicians. Sweet treats from OMG Donuts and fresh coffee from the Mochalicious Coffee Van will also be available to buy.

Much-loved author Mem Fox will host a special storytelling session in the Domain Theatre at 11am. You must book a spot for this session, and you can also purchase books at the event.

The Open Day marks the library’s return to regular opening hours, giving residents the chance to enjoy the new space every day.

Book in for Storytelling with Mem Fox at the Open Day and you can also see all the upcoming events at Marion Cultural Centre.
