Cool vibes and sweet treats at the Glenelg Ice Cream Festival

2 February 2026
Get ready for a summer flavour explosion as the beloved Glenelg Ice Cream Festival is back and sweeter than ever, bringing seaside fun, frozen delights and family-friendly entertainment to Jetty Road on the 6 February 2026.

The City of Holdfast Bay will once again transform Jetty Road and Moseley Square into a vibrant street party filled with ice cream vendors, live music, kids’ activities and attractions for all ages.

This celebration features more than 14 vendors across two ‘Ice Cream Villages’ where festival goers can sample classic favourites as well as dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, egg-free and vegan treats from local artisan makers.

Visitors can also enjoy extended shopping hours, food stalls and pop-up bars as part of the seaside street party atmosphere, plus a kids’ zone that includes face painting, soft play and giant outdoor games.

New this year, a mobile karaoke bar will bring free sing-along fun for teens and adults, while the popular Pawfect Zone returns with dog-friendly treats and water stations.

The Glenelg Library will once again host an indoor sensory space until 8:00 pm, offering a calm and inclusive environment for attendees.

City of Holdfast Bay Mayor Amanda Wilson said the festival continues to be a standout on the summer events calendar.

“This much-loved street party brings families and the local community together to celebrate Glenelg’s iconic connection to beach days and ice cream,” Mayor Wilson said.
