Clean Up Australia with your local council
Councils across South Australia are leading the charge this Clean Up Australia Day, hosting community events and supporting volunteers to take action against litter in streets, schools, beaches, parks and public spaces.
For 35 years, Clean Up Australia Day has empowered South Australians to protect and enhance their local environments with councils playing a key role in supporting community participation and long-term waste reduction.
Councils are encouraging community groups, schools and residents to get involved, with registered participants receiving the resources and support needed to host a safe and successful clean-up event.
In 2026, participating councils will host clean-up events across the state and invite residents to register and take part on Sunday 1 March, including:
Campbelltown City Council
