Brighton Winter Solstice 2026 set to light up Jetty Road
The popular City of Holdfast Bay event returns on Saturday 20 June 2026 to transform the coastal precinct into a vibrant winter street party, attracting an estimated 10,000 visitors across the evening.
Running from 4:00pm to 9:30pm, the free community event will feature live entertainment, glowing festoon lighting, crackling fire pits and local businesses extending onto the street to create a festive atmosphere.
This year's event introduces a unique new experience with EMBA, a mobile sauna housed inside a custom-built van overlooking the ocean. Visitors can book free guided 25-minute sessions and enjoy a relaxing coastal wellness experience while taking in sea views.
Families will find plenty to enjoy in the dedicated children's zone hosted by the City of Holdfast Bay Library team. Young visitors can take part in giant outdoor games, chalk activities and soft play, while face painting, hair braiding and live caricature drawings will also be available.
Food lovers can explore a range of seasonal offerings from local traders. Brighton Jetty Bakery will serve sweet and savoury doughnut tacos, while The Alchemists' Kitchen will prepare fresh streetside pizzas. A pop-up bar hosted by the Esplanade Hotel will add to the festivities, while Doozy Deli and food truck Braising Boy will offer Mexican sandos, mulled wine and other winter favourites.
The event offers residents and visitors an opportunity to embrace the winter season, support local businesses and experience one of Holdfast Bay's most popular community celebrations.
