West Lakes Sports Club reopens with modern facilities and a commitment to community sports

17 December 2025
The newly redeveloped West Lakes Sports Club is now open, giving one of Adelaide’s busiest community sporting hubs a fresh home that meets the needs of today’s players, volunteers and families.

Backed by funding from the State Government, the South Australian Football Facilities Fund and the club itself, the upgrade delivers modern changerooms, umpire spaces, social areas and improved spectator viewing. The new layout creates a safer, more accessible environment for everyone who uses the precinct.

West Lakes Sports Club supports a wide range of junior and senior teams across multiple sports including football, baseball and softball. The redevelopment helps the teams to grow, meet contemporary standards and continue offering safe, enjoyable sporting opportunities.

With more accessible changerooms, modern social spaces and improved viewing areas, the West Lakes Sports Club now provides a better experience for players and spectators while strengthening its role as a key gathering place for the community.

The upgrade positions the club to keep serving local players, volunteers and families for years ahead as a key community hub for the City of Charles Sturt.
