Brighton Jetty Sculptures exhibition returns for 2026

16 January 2026
Brighton’s iconic foreshore will once again transform into an open-air gallery when the Brighton Jetty Sculptures event returns in January 2026, marking its 19th year as one of South Australia’s most loved artistic events.

Running from 21 January to 1 February 2026, the exhibition will stretch along the Brighton Esplanade and Bindarra Reserve, beside the Brighton Surf Life Saving Club.

Each year, thousands of residents and visitors take the coastal walk to experience South Australia’s largest sculpture exhibition.

Proudly organised by volunteers from the Brighton Surf Life Saving Club and sponsored by the City of Holdfast Bay, the event supports local artists and the community. The exhibition provides artists with a platform to showcase and sell their work, while raising essential funds for the Brighton Surf Life Saving Club.

Attracting an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 visitors each day, the exhibition continues to grow.

Many of the sculptures on display have found permanent homes in public spaces, with the City of Holdfast Bay and other councils purchasing works over the years for streetscapes and community spaces across South Australia.

More than 220 sculptures will be featured across the site, including around 70 outdoor works that are free to view along the Esplanade. A marquee area in Bindarra Reserve will house more than 150 indoor sculptures, with entry priced at $5 for adults and free for children under 16. Brighton Surf Life Saving Club members and their families receive complimentary entry.

Visitors can also have their say in the People’s Choice Awards, with voting available via QR codes located across the exhibition or by collecting a voting slip from the marquees and sales desks. Two artists will each take home a $500 prize, acknowledging an outdoor and indoor piece.

Recognised as a major event by the City of Holdfast Bay and a past recipient of the council’s Australia Day Award, Brighton Jetty Sculptures continues to bring people together, support the arts and celebrate the best of coastal life.
