The Barunga West Council is a local government area in the Yorke and Mid North region of South Australia. With a population of just over 2,600, it covers an area of 1,528 km2 and is just a 2-hour drive from the Adelaide CBD.

The council area is diverse, it covers beach to bush, town to farm, young to old and from people who have lived there for a lifetime to those who are new to the district. Respecting all and valuing all, they support coming together as one community.
