  • Make sure buildings meet building regulations, accessibility requirements, and health and safety standards
  • Consider how bushfire, flooding, energy efficiency, threatened species, soil quality, heritage and more might impact a construction project
  • Assess structural damage and recommend repairs
  • Understand codes and regulations, and explain them to others
